Program Details with old pricing format

The Town of Bedford will be launching the Bedford Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) program for residents and businesses in August of 2019. The primary goals of the program are to provide competitive choice, longer-term price stability and more renewable energy options to participating consumers. The program was approved by the Board of Selectmen and the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities.

Below is a chart comparing the rates for the Bedford Community Choice Aggregation program to Eversource’s summer 2019 rates. The program will begin with participating account holder’s August 2019 meter reading. The new program rate will be reflected on September’s bill for August service from Eversource.

Please note, program pricing below will be in effect from August – December 2019, whereupon, program rates will increase marginally one time and remain fixed through December 2021. The pricing chart below will be updated in November 2019 to reflect these changes.

Disclaimer: A goal of the CCA program is to produce savings for customers, but savings cannot be guaranteed compared to the utility’s basic service rate which change every six months for residential and small commercial customers, and every three months for large commercial customers. The aggregation program seeks to provide price stability and average savings over the full term of the program, but because future basic service rates are not known, there is no guarantee of savings.
