The program offers four different electricity products detailed below and you may choose any product that suits your budget and climate goals. Use the calculator to compare rates. 

You can switch products at any time without penalty. 

The electricity supplier for Program Name is Dynegy: if you’re currently participating in the program, you will see Dyengy listed in the Supplier section of your Eversource bill.

Bedford Local Green

Price: $0.11100/kWh for residential, commercial and industrial

Term: November 2019 – December 2021 
Renewable Energy: Includes 5% Renewable Energy Certificates (MA Class I RECs) in addition to those required by the Commonwealth.

Bedford Premium 50% Local Green

Price: $0.12270/kWh for residential, commercial and industrial

Term: November 2019 – December 2021 
Renewable Energy: Includes 50% Renewable Energy Certificates (MA Class I RECs) in addition to those required by the Commonwealth.

Tax Deduction The value of the extra 50% MA Class I RECs qualifies as a deduction on federal income taxes. Those enrolled in this product will receive a tax contribution letter each January from Green Energy Consumers Alliance, the non-profit that procures the extra RECs.

Bedford Premium 100% Local Green

Price: $0.13570/kWh for residential, commercial and industrial

Term: November 2019 – December 2021 
Renewable Energy: Includes Renewable Energy Certificates (MA Class I RECs) equal to 100% the user’s electricity consumption, in addition to meeting all renewable energy requirements set by MA. Total MA Class I RECs:

  • 2019: 114%
  • 2020: 116%
  • 2021: 118%

Why do we have more than 100% RECs?

Bedford Basic

Price: $0.10970/kWh for residential, commercial and industrial

Term: November 2019 – December 2021 
Renewable Energy: Meets all Renewable Energy Certificate requirements set by the Commonwealth

Please note: Prices for all products in the Bedford CCA program include a $0.001/kWh administration fee. Program prices could increase as a result of a change in law that results in a direct, material increase in costs during the term of the electricity supply agreement. Program prices apply only to the electricity supply portion of your Eversource electric bill. Delivery charges on your Eversource electric bill are not affected by the Bedford CCA program. 

Products described as Green contain renewable electricity above that required by the Commonwealth. The additional renewable electricity qualifies for MA Class I designation and comes only from solar, wind, anaerobic digestion and low-impact hydro located within New England. Local refers to New England.

Eversource Basic Service Rates

Residential: $0.11795 /kWh (January – June 2021)
Commercial: $0.11086/kWh (January – June 2021)
Industrial: $0.12746/kWh NEMA (October – December 2021)
Renewable Energy: Meets all Renewable Energy Certificate requirements set by the Commonwealth

Eversource’s fixed Basic Service rates change every six months for residential and commercial accounts and every three months industrial accounts. 
Future savings compared to Eversource Basic Service cannot be guaranteed because future Basic Service prices change every six months for residential and commercial customers and every three months for industrial customers.
